After working at Musa Publishing on author Gary K. Wolf's novels, when he decided to self-publish, he called me to typeset and design the interiors, as well as prep and format the existing cover files and artwork for the re-release in both digital and print formats. I worked to create thematic typography for the interiors so that the three books look as though they are related, but also to pull elements of the three different covers. My work on these books (and many of Gary's other self-published works) doesn't stop at the typography; I worked to create fully functional and vetted epub files to ensure compatibility with all booksellers' requirements.
